Welcome to another issue of Simply Australia. Thanks for dropping by. This issue is dominated by the fascination afforded when people's stories are considered.
John Godl will enthral you with his articles on the enigmatic Eliza Donnithorne and the notorious Frederick Deeming. A regular Simply Australia contributor Warren Fahey provides us with an illuminating personal profile. This coincides with the recent release on CD of valuable Australian recordings from Warren's vast archive. We are thrilled to include selections from these recordings.
This issue is proud to highlight Dudley Pye. Dudley's experiences of Australian showground carnivals during the middle of last century make fascinating reading. Dudley has documented much of this experience as a “warb” in poetry. You can also hear Dudley talking about his “Six of the best”.
Thank you again for your emails. We do appreciate hearing from you and don't hesitate to use the Collection Box if you jave something to add.
Good reading, happy listening and enjoy, from the team at Simply Australia
